For those in the building trade in Aberdeen, as MKM Building Supplies has opened the doors of a brand new, branch bringing all building needs under one roof and creating 20 jobs.
The branch is the first new builder’s merchant to open in Aberdeen for over a decade. The 3.2 acre site with a 26,000 sq. foot warehouse is situated in a city centre location at the old Keyline Site in Miller Street, Aberdeen.
According to the company, the branch is designed to be a one-stop shop to the local people of Aberdeen City and the surrounding areas in Aberdeenshire, offering expertise, an extensive range of products and access with a 26T Curtain Sider with Forklift Offload, two 26T Crane Offload vehicles, 3.5T Curtain Sider and 3.5T Pick Up.
The new launch will welcome trade and retail customers to showcase a wide range of building essentials, offering timber, sheet materials, joinery products, building materials, roofing, landscaping, electrical and plumbing and heating as well as a kitchen and bathroom showroom with free delivery for the city and shire.
It will also have a fantastic shop range with merchandise covering all trades. The branch also offers a range of services including roofing take offs and 3D design services for kitchens.
The outlet is part of the company’s expansion plans, which have taken on significant momentum over the past few years. Fast-growing MKM has added 15 new branches to its network in just over two years making Aberdeen the 65th branch, with three more planned this year.
