MKM Building Supplies has announced the official opening of a new branch in Burnley, its 56th nationally, creating 15 jobs in the Lancashire town area.
On offer at MKM Building Supplies’ branch in Burnley will be the merchant’s portfolio of products and services which includes building materials, timber, roofing and joinery supplies as well as brick-matching and take-off services.
The branch will also contain kitchen and bathroom showrooms staffed by dedicated specialists, each showcasing state-of-the-art designs to accommodate and inspire customers at any budget. This is in addition to the branch’s landscaping display, containing all the appropriate supplies.
MKM is said to be the UK’s largest independent builders’ merchant, having grown steadily since it was founded in 1995; the Hull-based firm launched a milestone 50th branch last year, with plans for over 100 branches by 2022.
Heading up MKM Burnley is an experienced duo of Branch Directors, Paul Swindells and Darren Snape. As well as the 15 new roles spanning showroom specialists to sales and yard assistants, MKM Burnley also brings a new vehicle fleet of two wagons and curtainsider lorries, clad in the yellow-and-blue MKM branding.
The new branch is located at Unit 26 on Enterprise Way and free bacon butties will be available to visitors during the opening fortnight.
