MKM Building Supplies has swung its doors open to the city of Chester.
MKM Chester represents the builders’ merchant’s 52nd branch, as well as its sixth in the North West. The move brings 20 new jobs to the region.
The new branch contains the brand’s regular product portfolio, including building supplies, timber, plumbing, heating and more. As with several other branches, the branch boasts state-of-the-art kitchen and bathroom showrooms staffed by dedicated specialists to assist with any project queries or design questions.
Hull-based MKM operates branches throughout England and Scotland. Last year, the company celebrated its 22nd anniversary by cutting the ribbon on a milestone 50th branch; it has since set the ambitious objective of growing its number to over 100 locations by 2022.
Craig Bainbridge and Jamie Wilcock form a duo of Branch Directors at the site on Winsford Way, Sealand Industrial Estate. The branch will be offering free butties during its opening fortnight alongside a series of other offers and competitions.
Branch Director, Craig Bainbridge, said: “It’s unbelievably exciting to be cutting the ribbon on the brand-new MKM Chester branch. We’ve put together a skilled team of local people who can’t wait to get started serving our retail and trade customers.
“As a steadily growing national brand, MKM prides itself on, and sets itself apart with, its unbeatable customer service and wide product range, so there’s a lot to prove – but my team is raring to go. Whether from the trades or retail, pop down and say hello!”
