MKM arrives in Bishop Auckland

MKM Building Supplies has increased its portfolio and created sixteen jobs with the opening of its 43rd branch, located in Bishop Auckland.

In line with ongoing plans to increase its UK network, the Hull-based business has taken its offering to the North East town, comprising both kitchen and bathroom showrooms, as well as its usual array of building, plumbing and heating, roofing, timber, landscaping, insulation and hardware supplies.

The merchant reports that its latest branch received a warm welcome from local tradespeople, with a strong turnout to support the opening week and “take advantage of a string of offers, savings and competitions being made available for the first fortnight of trading”.

Designed to cater for both trade and the public, the in-branch kitchen and bathroom ranges are described as “an exciting addition which have proved to be a huge hit with MKM customers elsewhere”.

John Beck, one of two Branch Directors at the Stadium Way site, said: “The whole team at MKM Bishop Auckland are blown away by the local support we have received upon opening the branch. We are looking forward to developing long-term relationships with both the trade and public in the area, based on the quality of our offering and of course, the excellent customer service for which MKM is renowned nationally.”

Founded in 1995, MKM is celebrating its 21st anniversary this with a number of commemorative events. The business also states that it will continue to roll out its plans to further its coverage over the next five years.
