The National Buying Group (NBG) is adding to its list of partners yet again, as it announces the recruitment of London-based merchant Abbeygate Builders Merchants Ltd.
Specialising in timber, aggregates, building materials, tools and fixings, Abbeygate opened its doors in 1992, and has been providing West London’s contractors with quality products, competitive prices and a personalised, comprehensive service ever since.
The merchant’s fleet of mechanical off load vehicles is said to allow it to deliver a diverse range of materials, including lintels, bricks and blocks and insulation throughout London and the surrounding areas.
According to the company, it has continued to grow for the last 27 years and new developments in the coming months will see the company move branch and roll out a new E-commerce offering, Abbeygate Online, allowing customers to order materials via the website.
Richard Cooney, Director at Abbeygate, said: “Joining NBG has come at the perfect time for us, and we look forward to reaping the benefits of being part of the group.
“NBG will allow us to remain in the loop and give us access to a community of like-minded merchants working together. It’s essential to have those connections in today’s market, which is why NBG is the perfect fit for us.”
NBG managing director, Nick Oates, said: “Abbeygate provides a high-class service to its customers and has steadily built a reputation as one of the area’s go-to merchants. We’re both excited for the partnership and are looking forward to working together.”
National Buying group was formed in 2003 and harnesses the power of collective buying by bringing the UK’s independent merchants together to develop lucrative business opportunities, overcome industry challenges and build lasting relationships with suppliers, as well as each other.
