New head office for Thomas Dudley

Thomas Dudley Ltd has announced that building contractor, Speller Metcalfe, will be the developer of its new multi-million-pound corporate head office.

This marks the first stage of the project development, which is set to be completed in August 2017.

The family-owned business has delivered exceptional growth in recent years and is continuing to invest in infrastructure, technology and people at the Dudley site.

The building is being developed as the company has outgrown its current office block, built in the 1970s. The new development will provide state-of-the-art offices for staff alongside a customer focused showroom and training facilities.

Martin Dudley, Thomas Dudley’s Joint Managing Director, commented: “This is another significant milestone in the development of Thomas Dudley. It further underlines our commitment to investing in the business, in order to deliver world-class products and services for our customers nationwide and overseas.”

Fellow Joint Managing Director, Jason Parker, added: “The new building supports a number of our strategic business principles in that it will allow us to provide an enjoyable, customer-focused environment that promotes family values, and we look forward to moving in next year.”
Speller Metcalfe has a long-standing history of projects across the West Midlands, with this latest development being delivered from its regional Wolverhampton office.

“Bringing two local, family-run businesses together to develop this new project is a fantastic announcement for the region,” said Rob Lashford, Regional Manager at Speller Metcalfe. “Not only will this new building provide employment opportunities for Thomas Dudley, the development itself will bring further employment for local sub-contractors and suppliers from across the county.”

Named as Contractor of the Year in 2015, the team behind the project will be undertaking a variety of challenges to bring the new three storey building to fruition.
