KNIPEX
Tweezers
When it comes to targeted gripping and working on small and very small workpieces and components, hand tools must be able to grip even more precisely and delicately than classic gripping tools generally allow.
The expanded range of KNIPEX tweezers includes a large number of high-precision tools for detailed work. Precisely manufactured, symmetrical tips and a wide variety of designs with different gripping surfaces, handles and angled heads mean that the tweezers can be used in many application areas for the highest demands.

As showcased at this year’s RCI Show in September, Sherwin Williams has highlighted DOWSIL 896 PanelFix, an elastic silicone adhesive specifically designed for panel bonding applications on a wide range of substrates. Said to offer immediate strength directly after application, the silicone possesses ultraviolet, temperature and weather-resistant qualities which the brand says make it ideal for high durability jobs.
Also on display was the DuPont Froth-Pak Foam Insulation system — a two-part polyurethane foam spray kit designed to fill cavities and gaps. Suitable for both internal and external environments, the foam can be trimmed, cut, sanded, painted or plastered over in just two minutes on almost any construction surface.

West Fraser
CaberDek
Indicative of its popularity with the trade, West Fraser’s CaberDek flooring has been endorsed by KRM Carpentry from Gillingham, Kent whether the company is working on a new build, an entire refurbishment project, or an extension or loft conversion.
Owner of the firm, Kai, said: “We undertake various jobs in the Kent area and always use CaberDek. We fix the boards with CaberFix D4 as it gives a good bond and creates a water-tight seal between the panels. The boards are really hardwearing and it’s good to leave the protective film on until the end of the job so we leave the build with a nice clean floor.”
Senco
Rebar Tying Tool
Designed to deal with a variety of fastening requirements — from tying rebar together and fastening conduit to rebar, to fastening PVC pipes to reinforced concrete steel and fastening underfloor heating hoses to steel — Senco’s SRT40 Rebar Tier is said to provide a highly reliable method of ensuring that reinforced structures have a firm mesh grid in place.
Brushless motors ensure faster and efficient tying, with a sealed gearbox giving extra power, attaining an impressive 0.6 – 0.8 seconds per tie. Between 4000 – 5000 tight and uniform ties are achieved per charge thanks to the two supplied 18V 4 Ah Lithium Ion slide in batteries and charger, meaning that work can continue uninterrupted, whilst a handy LCD screen allows for wire tension adjustment.
