Redring Xpelair invests in dedicated merchant sales team

As part of ambitious growth plans, Redring Xpelair has appointed three new Key Account Managers, adding to a brand new sales team focused exclusively on the builders’ merchants market.

Gary Clegg, Ian Little and Paul Hunt join the showering, water heating and ventilation specialist, as Key Account Managers for Northern England, East Midlands and East Anglia, and the South East respectively.

Bringing with them a combined 45 years of experience in the building industry, Gary, Ian and Paul join existing Redring Xpelair sales managers who have moved across to the new team, driving sales of Redring showering and water heating solutions, Galaxy showers and Xpelair ventilation products.

Gary Clegg joins Redring Xpelair after three years as a Key Account Manager for the Coram Group and Impey Showers. A former Young Bathroom Designer award winner, Gary was director of a successful high-end retail bathroom showroom until the sale of the business in 2011.

Ian Little brings over 14 years’ experience in the plumbing sector, having previously worked for Grahams Plumbers’ Merchant and as a Key Account Manager for the Coram Group, working with merchants, installers and developers.

Paul Hunt joins the group after more than 12 years with the Coram Group and with an additional five years’ experience, working for Sheffield Insulations and a leading plumbing and heating distributor.

Keith McCormick, Head of Specification and Merchant Sales for Redring Xpelair, said: “The introduction of this new team reflects Redring Xpelair’s ambitious plans for this important market. We’ve already had an enthusiastic and positive response from merchants and buying groups, who are delighted to see Redring Xpelair back on the map.

“Our famous brands combined with our impressive portfolio of water and air products that are all made here in Britain is a compelling package that is having a real impact in the market.

“The new team has an excellent pedigree in the industry and is really championing builders’ merchants within the group. We’re already seeing relationships develop at branch level and there is a whole host of new products, promotions and support in the pipeline, as part of our commitment to the builders’ merchants sector.”
