RGB Building Supplies and its sister company, The Room Works, are delighted to announce their sponsorship of an elite women’s cycling team as part of South West community project Cycle Engage UK.
Team RGB Building Supplies is made up of women from across the region and the sponsorship by the builders’ merchant provides a stable foundation for the amateur cyclists to take their sport to the next level.
The team will compete at elite level in national road racing competitions, including the National Women’s Road Series, The National Championships, and the televised ITV Tour Series events.
The team is part of Cycle Engage UK, which aims to promote cycling in the South West by working with community initiatives to increase participation and develop the growth of elite cycling. Team RGB Building Supplies will therefore not only judge whether its season has been a success by race results, but also by how many people it can encourage to cycle regularly through community activities.
Keith Harris, Product & Marketing Manager at RGB Building Supplies, commented: “As proud supporters of the area, we’re keen to back groups that are aiming to make a positive impact in the region and are therefore delighted to be sponsoring Team RGB Building Supplies. We wish them the best of luck for the season.”
Team RGB Building Supplies’ squad is made up of Jenny Bolsom, Exmouth; Jenny Corser, Teignmouth; Lucy Driver, Bridgwater; Hannah Newsham, Taunton; Alice Staniford, Exeter; Heidi Viles, Taunton; Susan Freeburn, Sevenoaks and Sophie Williams, Cwmbran.
