Following a successful sponsorship deal of Burton Albion Football Club last season, Russell Roof Tiles is delighted it has renewed its support for the club for the 2017/18 season.
Burton Albion – also known as “the Brewers”, and led by manager Nigel Clough (son of the famous Brian Clough), jumped into the English Football League (EFL) Championship for the 2016/17 season.
Russell Roof Tiles is sponsoring the club’s away “East Stand” at the Pirelli Stadium. Away fans are expected to visit the Pirelli Stadium in even larger numbers this season. Travelling fans from some of the big Midlands clubs – Aston Villa and Birmingham City FC for example – have been among those using the Russell Roof Tiles stand this season, with the latter tasting defeat at the hands of the Brewers.
This latest announcement follows Russell Roof Tiles shirt sponsorship deal with Burton Albion Academy’s thriving U15 team. The rapidly developing youth team, which trains at St George’s Park, the English Football Association’s national football centre in Burton-upon-Trent, demonstrates the club’s and Russell’s aspiration to nurture local talent and produce the next generation of Burton Albion players.
Andrew Hayward, Managing Director: “The first season’s sponsorship of the stand was fantastic as it provided us with the opportunity to raise awareness of our brand whilst supporting the local community. It made sense to follow up with the shirt sponsorship so we could engage with the younger generation too.”
Commercial Director of Burton Albion, Fleur Robinson added: “Burton Albion are delighted that Russell Roof Tiles have extended their stand sponsorship of the East Stand at the Pirelli Stadium for a second season. The company also sponsors our Academy Under 15 side and share the same values as the club. We look forward to continuing our partnership with them going forward.”
