Local Merchant Group cements connections

Saint-Gobain’s Local Merchant brands came together recently for a special rebranding and team-building event.

Staff and suppliers from local builder’s merchant businesses Gibbs & Dandy, Benchmark, Matthew Charlton, Chadwicks, Roger W Jones and Blackpool Power Tools came together on Wednesday 28th of September for a company-wide celebration and to re-cement the connections between these sister brands.

The event included 60 delegates taking part in team building exercises at the Bear Grylls Adventure, an evening event at the Genting hotel in Birmingham, a three course meal, comedian and MC entertainment and even a caricaturist.

This occasion commemorates the rebranding of these joint local builder’s merchants. The aim of the rebrand was to bring all the individual brands together as one for a common purpose, hence the honeycomb due to the working together of bees, with the new branding revealed to the attendees to much applause.

Details of the rebrand will be released to the public and the sector at large at a later date.

Jason Cadogan, Head of Marketing, said: “This was a tremendous opportunity to get together all our team members across the Local Merchant brands. Events like this really exemplify the team spirit we have here, and we look forward to unveiling our new branding.”
