Selco’s Bradford branch celebrates 15th anniversary

The Bradford branch of Selco Builders Warehouse, based on Tong Street, first opened its doors in 2008 and today stands as one of the company’s 75 UK branches.

The merchant marked its 15-year anniversary by welcoming Lord Mayor Councillor Gerry Barker into the branch as part of a day of celebration. A charity raffle and cake sale were held in aid of Cancer Research UK while there was a special darts competition held for customers as part of the company’s partnership with the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) in addition to a trade day supported by a number of Selco’s suppliers.

Branch Manager Dave Penney said: “We’ve been a big part of the local community for 15 years and it was great to be able to mark the occasion with an in-branch celebration event. We wanted our customers and colleagues – who have both been a big part of the branch’s success – to be able to celebrate with us and it was fantastic to welcome the Lord Mayor along too.

“We’ve had a fantastic 15 years in Bradford serving local tradespeople going about their jobs in and around the city and we look forward to many more years being at the heart of the community.”
