Selco Builders Warehouse has continued its expansion by opening its 66th UK branch in Chelmsford, the business’ eighth new store this year.
The new location will aim to strengthen Selco’s presence in Essex, where it already has two other branches in Basildon and West Thurrock.
Selco has already opened branches in Solihull, York, Milton Keynes, Leeds Roundhay, Bristol and Leicester this year. The Chelmsford branch will feature the full Selco offering, including Selco Hire and a kitchen design service.
Howard Luft, Selco’s Chief Executive, said: “Selco Builders Warehouse continues to go from strength to strength, as demonstrated by our significant expansion this year, and indeed over the last five years.
“Chelmsford is a new area for us and I’m sure our arrival will be warmly welcomed by tradesmen in the area, giving them greater convenience and choice.
“We are a one-stop shop for the trade and always put our customers first. As a genuine multi-channel builders merchant we want to give them the chance to get their building materials in the most convenient way possible.”
The launch of Selco Chelmsford has also seen the builders’ merchant continue its support to the local communities in which it operates, with a trio of good causes each receiving £1,000.
This is in addition to the fundraising programme for national charity partner Macmillan Cancer Support, which has already generated in excess of £500,000.
