STARK Group opens second ’24/7′ branch in Denmark

STARK Group, which recently completed the acquisition of Saint-Gobain Building Distribution to become STARK Building Materials UK, has opened its second 24/7 branch in Denmark to give customers access to building materials and tools around the clock.

The business opened the doors to what was reportedly Denmark’s first 24/7 builders’ merchant in Copenhagen on 18 August 2014, and states that “it has not been closed ever since.” It is now looking to repeat the success in Aalborg, Jutland with the existing branch extending its opening hours from 6am to 5pm on weekdays to be open 24/7.

Søren P. Olesen, CEO of STARK Group said: “It is about increasing accessibility and service for our customers. One of the most important things for our professional tradespeople is to keep their project moving. By staying open 24/7, we provide flexibility and availability that helps them meet their deadlines.”

Since the initial opening in Copenhagen in 2014, the 24/7 concept had subsequently been extended to Finland, where STARK Group has opened four 24/7 branches in what are reportedly Finland’s biggest growth areas: Helsinki, Oulu, Tampere and Turku.
