Sundolitt UK, part of the Sunde Group, has revealed plans to open a new manufacturing plant for the production and conversion of expanded polystyrene insulation (EPS) products.
At approximately 7000m2, the new site will employ around 12 staff and will manufacture EPS block for conversion into the full range of insulation and civil engineering products. The location being around an hour from the Capital is ideal to support the Midlands, London and the wider south-east area, in addition to our traditional base of Scotland and the North of England.
Colin Morrow, General Manager, Sundolitt comments: “We feel that the move south from our Gateshead plant is a vital one for our continuing success and development. Our parent company are showing their support and confidence in the UK construction market with this investment and we feel the location is perfect to support the industry.” He continues: “We will be converting an existing site, so plan to be fully operational by September 2021”.
Sundolitt will continue to operate as normal from its other sites in Scotland, supporting the fish and meat packaging industries with technical packaging solutions.
