Travis Perkins, alongside all Travis Perkins plc businesses, will celebrate its 20th anniversary as Principal Partner of Northampton Saints Rugby Club at the upcoming Gallagher Premiership fixture vs Worcester Warriors on 22 October.
The partnership is one of the longest running in British sport – and to celebrate 20 years of continued success together, a number of on-the-day celebrations will take place.
The Supporter Village at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens will be packed with family activities, and photo opportunities for fans with mascot Travis Bearkins. To further celebrate the milestone, the builders’ merchant is offering new and existing customers 20% off online and on the Travis Perkins App on spend up to £2,000, over the weekend of the Anniversary Match.
The fixture will see a number of past Saints players and key Travis Perkins plc employees return to cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens, and will be marked on the pitch with a presentation of an exclusive 20th Anniversary shirt to Travis Perkins from the Club.
Frank Elkins, Chief Operating Officer at Travis Perkins plc, said: “We can’t wait to celebrate the heritage of this 20-year milestone with the community, fans, Club and our colleagues across our businesses. To be a part of one of the longest-running partnerships in British sport, and to be able to help bring rugby to more communities, is a great privilege.”
Mark Darbon, Northampton Saints’ CEO, added: “We pride ourselves on forming long-term relationships with our commercial partners, so everyone at the Club could not be more excited to celebrate the 20-year milestone of this incredible relationship. Travis Perkins is a huge presence in our local community, and we are proud to have worked collaboratively with them for so long.
“We are delighted to be ringing in the anniversary with an evening of community activities within our Supporter Village, and to present Travis Perkins with a unique, commemorative Saints jersey. Everyone at the Club is looking forward to what the next phase of our enduring partnership with Travis Perkins will bring.”
Next year and beyond, Travis Perkins plc will become the Club’s Headline Community Partner, focusing on “helping to make the game of rugby more accessible to all and using the power of sport to positively impact a wide range of groups and individuals”.
