Trex sales pass 600,000 lineal metres milestone

Arbor Forest Products is celebrating after sales of its Trex composite decking system smashed through the 600,000 lineal metres barrier.

The achievement follows an intensive campaign by Arbor Forest Products (AFP) to grow interest in composite decking products to unprecedented levels after it became the only UK distributor of the innovative US system.

Demand for Trex products has been fuelled in part by their peerless reputation for sustainability and durability, and the outstanding value it offers AFP’s customers. The success has been made possible by the training programme that AFP devised for its merchant customers, to increase the level of knowledge and interest in composite decking products.

Jason Ostler, Commercial Director at AFP, said: “We have put a lot of work into training our sales team so that they, in turn, can help merchants successfully communicate the added value of the product to installers, specifiers and the end user.”

Manufactured with a hard-wearing, weatherproof outer shell, Trex is designed with longevity in mind and will not rot, split, fade, warp or splinter. It also benefits from being stain, mould and scratch-resistant, and never requires staining or painting, making it ideal for the commercial sector.

Its high performance shell coating, designed to protect it from the elements on three sides, leaving the underside free to breathe to avoid surface separation, makes Trex Transcend and Contour ideally suited to the UK market.
