Visqueen has opened a dedicated Training Academy at its headquarters in Heanor, Derbyshire.
The new facilities are designed to provide specifiers and contractors across the UK with the most up-to-date ground waterproofing and gas protection training courses available as Visqueen continues to focus on delivering the highest levels of training, service and support to meet the needs of the building products market.
The new Training Academy consists of a teaching room for theory based learning, and nine different training bays where attendees will receive practical insight and instruction. From individual day courses providing an overview of ground gas protection requirements to intensive three-day courses which give detailed training in the practical skills required for waterproofing product application, all the courses are designed to help specifiers and users improve their skills and help in their day-to-day jobs.
Commenting on the launch of the new Training Academy, Phil Bull, Visqueen’s Sales Director, said: “Building regulations and codes of practice for gas protection and below-ground waterproofing have evolved significantly over the past few years.
“Understanding these new standards has formed a key part of Visqueen’s recent R&D and sales support programme, and our investment in the new Visqueen Training Academy is leading the way in ensuring we support this with practical advice and hands on experience for our customers.”
The new courses are open to specifiers, installers and builders’ merchants around the UK, with full details of dates and costs available from the manufacturer. Attendees will receive a certificate of attendance from a Visqueen Trained Installer.
“Our new Training Academy ensures Visqueen is able to provide both the theoretical and practical requirements of ground gas protection and waterproofing that our customers and the industry are demanding,” concludes Phil. “We have already had significant interest in our range of courses.”
