Frank Key Plant & Tool Hire has taken delivery of a new 7.2T beavertail vehicle to transport the company’s ever-expanding range of hire fleet to customers.
Investment in plant delivery capability saw the arrival of a new Iveco Daily 70C18 truck, featuring a beavertail body and lightweight aluminium ramps, designed to allow wheeled and tracked plant easy access to the vehicle’s rigid platform body.
Richard Meeks is Frank Key’s Group Hire Director. He says: “We have 15 plant and tool hire branches across the East Midlands, Derbyshire, South Yorkshire and Lancashire. The demand for our plant continues to grow, which is why we are committed to capital investment in new vehicles to provide our customers with continuity of service and supply, whenever and wherever our plant is required.
“We hire an extensive range of plant, much of which needs to be delivered to our customers on-site. That includes diggers, dumpers, rollers, tracked barrows and ground care equipment, as well as towable compressors, water bowsers, chippers and access equipment. The Iveco Daily is a brilliant vehicle; it’s a real workhorse and is set for a busy life. It also means we can deliver on our customer promise of providing what you need, when you need it.”
James Norton, Managing Director, Frank Key Group, adds: “We pride ourselves on providing high-quality tools, service and advice to all our customers. That means investing in the most up-to-date equipment required to do the job, be it the plant and tools we hire to our customers or the fleet we use for its delivery.
“The Iveco Daily joins our £125,000 Scania L-Series truck, designed to improve the safety of road users, including pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists. Innovations include a ‘city safe’ window in the passenger door, increasing visibility for the driver and helping to reduce road risk in busy cities. The vehicle qualifies for the highest star rating under the Transport for London Direct Vision Scheme, a safety permit for all HGVs over 12-tonnes.”
“The newest addition to the Frank Key fleet is now putting in the miles out on the region’s roads brandishing our fantastic new brand livery. The new Frank Key look and feel can already be experienced at our Sheffield branch, following £250,000 rebrand and refurbishment, and will gradually be rolled out across all of our UK depots.”
