Marketeers from some of the UK’s leading independent merchants have attended a ground-breaking marketing forum run by National Buying Group (NBG).
The forum – which covered topics as diverse as digital marketing, classic campaigns on a budget and consolidated marketing campaigns – provided the delegates with a chance to share best practice and marketing solutions in a cooperative setting.
“NBG is a single united force and a true community and this marketing forum is a prime example of that,” said Nick Oates, NBG’s MD. “We aim to bring members together regularly in a variety of settings to share information and ideas with a cohort of their peers. It is part of our drive to improve standards and set benchmarks amongst our members and offer them a raft of added value services in addition to our core activity of negotiating competitive buying deals for members.”
Future NBG marketing events, open to marketing professionals in NBG merchant member companies, will cover topics such as merchandising, e-marketing, social media and loyalty schemes. Members can find details of the next sessions on NBG’s pioneering business hub – the online business facility for members and suppliers through which over 95% of the group’s business is now conducted.
NBG has 82 partner merchants who collectively operate from more than 280 outlets across the UK.
