PBM’s Group Advertisement Manager Craig Jowsey is running this year’s Virgin London Marathon on April 24 to raise money for the NSPCC and its ChildLine service.
This year marks ChildLine’s 30th Anniversary. Run by the NSPCC, the support helpline receives a call or email from a child in need of support oradvice every 25 seconds, 24-hrs a day, 365 days a year – amounting to 3,400 children contacting the organisation each day.
In total, it has counselled 4million people from 12 bases around the UK, by a team of 1,400 volunteers. However, currently only three out of four contacts received can be answered, and the money will go towards funding this service.
Part of a 10-strong team called Jog On, Craig hopes £30,000 can be raised for the children’s charity. Craig says any support would be greatfully received by clicking the following link to help team Jog On reach their target.
