Simon Cowling has joined IBC Buying Group as its new Head of Business Development.
Simon has many years of experience working in the building materials industry, most recently at Heidelberg Materials UK, and brings “extensive market knowledge and a proven ability to create long-lasting relationships with colleagues, clients and industry stakeholders” to his new role.
He officially joined IBC on 1 November and will work with the buying group’s existing sales, marketing and commercial teams to drive its Member development strategy and forge close partnerships between suppliers and members alike.
Simon said: “I am excited to start this new role with IBC Buying Group because it offers me the opportunity to grow and develop my skills in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment, which is something I am passionate about. I look forward to working with the talented IBC team to drive the buying group to even greater heights and further help support our members and suppliers with their business goals.”
Managing Director Stuart Stockley added: “Simon joins IBC at an exciting time for the business, as we work closely with Suppliers to create market-leading product deals, and with members to ensure we deliver exactly what they need to support them through the industry’s current challenges. Simon’s market expertise will be a fantastic addition to the rest of the IBC team as we continue to expand our member-first strategy.”
