Midlands construction community raises £195,000 for five charities

The Midlands construction industry has once again come together for an incredible evening of fundraising, raising an outstanding £195,000 for five charities at the 2026 Midlands Construction Charity Ball.

Held in the Masters Suite at The Belfry in September, the annual event brought together independent and family-owned construction businesses from across the Midlands, alongside suppliers and manufacturers, for a fantastic evening of fundraising, entertainment and celebration.

The remarkable £195,000 total will be split equally between five charities: St Giles Hospice, Acorns Children’s Hospice, Tabor Living, The Christy Lambe Foundation and The Lighthouse Charity, providing £39,000 to each organisation. And this year’s fundraising represents another significant step forward for the event, exceeding the £167,000 raised in 2025 by £28,000 — an increase of almost 17%.

Jointly organised by Tippers, EH Smith Builders Merchants, M. Lambe Construction and Friel Homes, 100% of the money generated through the event goes directly towards supporting its chosen charities. And more than simply a fundraising event, the Ball has become a fantastic celebration of the Midlands construction community and the relationships between independent and family owned businesses, suppliers and manufacturers.

The organisers would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who attended, sponsored, donated prizes and supported the evening: “Their generosity was instrumental in achieving this year’s record fundraising total. Special thanks also go to the event’s Headline Sponsors — FP McCann, Keystone Lintels, Heidelberg Materials and Wrekin Products.”

Following another hugely successful evening, plans now turn towards the 2027 Midlands Construction Charity Ball, with sponsorship opportunities and ticket information available for businesses wishing to get involved.
