Window of opportunity for Elliotts as it acquires Futuremost Group

Elliotts has completed the acquisition of window manufacturer and installer, Futuremost Group.

Founded in 1987 and based in Portsmouth, Futuremost is a well-established manufacturer and installer of bespoke aluminium and PVCu window units. The acquisition expands the Elliotts portfolio, which includes Elliotts Builders’ Merchants, Elliotts Living Spaces, and Elliotts Premier Roofing.

Dave Barrett, Managing Director of Futuremost, said: “Joining the Elliotts group gives us an exciting opportunity to grow alongside a business with a strong heritage. Our focus remains on delivering a first-class customer experience, supported by both our trusted brands.”

Elliotts, which recently earned the Employer of the Year title at the Solent 250 Awards, has been family-owned and run since 1842. Operating from its head office at Millbank Wharf in Northam, Southampton, the business supplies a wide range of building materials to both trade and public customers across the South.

CEO Tom Elliott commented: “Our goal is to become a complete one-stop shop for our customers, and the acquisition of Futuremost is a significant step towards that. This move expands our product range and strengthens our position in the construction market.

“Futuremost’s values and reputation for quality align perfectly with ours. With 37 years of industry expertise and a loyal customer base, they’re a great fit for Elliotts. I’m looking forward to working together to build a stronger business.”

Futuremost will continue to operate under its own name and will retain all 32 current employees.

Founded in 1842, Elliotts is one of the South’s oldest family businesses. With 13 branches, it supplies building materials to the trade and the public. In addition to its builders’ merchant business, the firm operates two specialist tool centres in Portsmouth and Winchester, Elliotts Premier Roofing, plus four kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom showrooms under the Elliotts Living Spaces brand.

Still run by the Elliott family, the company is led by Tom Elliott, the sixth generation to head the business, with his father Stuart Mason Elliott still active as chairman.
