Genuit Group plc has announced the acquisition of Davidson Holdings, a portfolio of leading UK-based plumbing and water efficiency brands. The transaction brings Cistermiser, Keraflo, Salamander Pumps and Talon into Genuit’s Sustainable Building Solutions (SBS) business unit.
Davidson Holdings operates from three UK manufacturing sites, Sunderland, Reading and Gillingham, and supplies a wide range of products, technologies and components for the residential and commercial sectors. The business designs and manufactures water management solutions (Cistermiser), water tank technology and control valves (Keraflo), shower and whole-house water boosting solutions (Salamander Pumps) and pipe clips, seals and fixings (Talon Manufacturing).
The acquisition complements Genuit Group’s existing portfolio – including leading names such as Polypipe, Nuaire and Adey – and strengthens its position in the UK Repair, Maintenance and Improvement market. It also aligns with the Group’s ‘Sustainable Solutions for Growth’ strategy, which focuses on providing low-carbon and water-efficient technologies that support climate change adaptation and mitigation.
Merchants and installers are told they “can expect continuity of service and ongoing investment in product development, technical support and availability.”
Commenting on the acquisition, Joe Vorih, Chief Executive Officer of Genuit Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome our new colleagues to Genuit Group. They bring an innovative and highly complementary portfolio of plumbing as well as sector leading brands, enabling us to look at ways we can leverage our channels to market and combine solutions to deliver value to our customers.
“We look forward to working with our new colleagues on delivering on our shared purpose; Together, we create sustainable living.”
The acquisition is said to reinforce Genuit Group’s “commitment to providing solutions that future-proof the built environment and support sustainable development across the UK construction sector.”
Moreover, the Group says that water conservation, in response to growing concerns around supply and sustainability, is expected to become a key area of focus for developers, local authorities and utilities. The Davidson Holdings product set directly supports this shift with smart, efficient technologies that reduce water usage and improve system performance in residential and commercial buildings.
The acquired businesses and brands will benefit from integration into the Genuit Business System, which supports operational efficiency, innovation and scale.
