Setcrete has become a Company Partner of national construction charity, Band of Builders.
In addition to financial support for the charity, Setcrete will supply products for projects being undertaken by Band of Builders, which include renovations, extensions and adaptations for members of the UK construction industry and their families who face adversity due to illness, injury or life-changing circumstances. And, kicking off its support for the charity, Setcrete has also agreed to sponsor the Band of Builders fundraising ball, billed as ‘the construction charity event of the year’, which is being hosted at Aston Villa Football Club on October 2nd.
Commenting on Setcrete’s decision to become involved with Band of Builders, National Sales Manager, Michael Hoe explained: “Having seen the phenomenal work that has already been undertaken by the charity, we have total admiration for the hundreds of tradespeople who come together and give their time, expertise and donations to help people like them, who just happen to suffer a major setback in their lives that could happen to any of us.
“We’re just happy to be able to partner with Band of Builders and contribute in a way that directly helps those who need it.”
In addition to undertaking much-needed building projects for workers who have suffered misfortune in their lives, Band of Builders also provides financial and wellbeing support for members of the construction community. The charity’s dedicated team works closely with beneficiaries to understand their challenges and deliver bespoke support, helping them regain independence and stability.
Most recently, Band of Builders launched Every Merchant Matters has been launched by Band of Builders with the aim of harnessing the unique reach of the merchant sector to create a nationwide network of branches where construction workers can find someone who is available to listen, start a conversation and help signpost them towards mental health support.
