Dura Composites has announced that it has entered into an exciting agreement with International Timber to act as the Exclusive UK Timber Importer of its fast growing innovative composite timber decking and cladding product ranges.
The addition of the highly durable and eco-friendly Dura Composites range sees International Timber expand its already impressive portfolio of products to appeal to new audiences in the construction, architectural and leisure sectors. As the largest supplier and distributor of timber and panel products in the UK, International Timber combines specialist technical sales expertise with unrivalled choice, and thanks to this agreement, the company is now able to offer customers a premium timber composite alternative to both softwood and hardwood decking and cladding.
“This exciting agreement with International Timber is a logical step forward for both companies, and we are anticipating high demand as more clients are exposed to the new technology” said Stuart Burns, Director of Dura Composites. “Composite decking and cladding products have seen a phenomenal growth in popularity over the past five years because they offer the aesthetic beauty of timber, coupled with the benefits of high class technology, easy installation and low maintenance.
“We are immensely proud of the high quality products we offer and International Timber is recognised for upholding the highest quality standards in all its operations, so we are therefore delighted to be partnering with them to offer the Dura Composites range to a wider audience of timber merchants, contractors and end users.”
Operating from well-established regional depot sales centres, International Timber will offer the attractive Dura Deck range in four different designs and colours. As well as being ‘barefoot friendly’ and suitable for domestic use on terraces and balconies, Dura Deck is ideal for commercial businesses such as hotels, pubs, holiday parks and theme park walkways, where long term durability and safety are important factors.
The deal also covers the Dura Cladding external wall facade range, which has been extended to comprise five designs and seven colours for 2015 — and which will appeal to house builders and commercial property developers looking for an attractive, hard-wearing and low maintenance way to finish the exterior of both new and refurbished buildings. Since its launch only three years ago, Dura Cladding is already specified on a wide range of projects as architects look for the rare combination of a natural wood look allied with colour fade resistance.
Importantly for International Timber, both the Dura Composites decking and cladding range are 100% Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified, as is becoming expected in the industry for natural wood products. What’s more, both ranges are manufactured from up to 87% recycled materials, meaning that eco-project specifiers are well catered for too.
Prior to the signing of the deal, Dura Composites provided extensive product and technical training to the sales teams at International Timber to ensure that customers continue to receive the kind of exceptional service that they have come to expect.
“We’ve been looking to reinforce our excellent product range with a high quality composite solution for some time, and Dura Deck and Dura Cladding from Dura Composites certainly does this”, said Steve Rogers, Product Director of International Timber. “We have a long history of providing a truly flexible, competitive, one stop shopping experience and we are confident that the Dura Composites product line will resonate with our existing customers as well as helping to open up opportunities with new ones.”
