The recent NMBS All Industry Conference took place from the 16th to the 19th June at the award-winning Princesa Yaiza Resort Hotel in Lanzarote and was attended by over 460 delegates, representing the independent merchant sector, suppliers and the wider building industry.
Adopting the theme ‘Business Matters’, the conference enabled those attending to develop their knowledge of a range of highly topical business issues. Delegates were able to benefit from presentations and keynote speeches from acknowledged and high-profile experts in a range of fields – from innovation and leadership to e-commerce, entrepreneurship and omnichannel trading.
The event also provided exceptional networking opportunities with busy ‘Meet the Merchant’ sessions, a Gala Dinner at the picturesque Marina Rubicon – which raised over €5,500 for NMBS’ two chosen charities, the Rainy Day Trust and CRASH – and numerous ‘infomal’ meetings over several days.
A number of NMBS suppliers took advantage of the opportunity to sponsor key elements of the conference including Bradstone, Alumasc, Rockwool, Marsh Industries, SIG, Encon and Crystal Clear. Makita was the headline sponsor for the entire event.
