Actis has launched a new user-friendly website aimed at helping architects, specifiers and builders choose the correct insulation and membranes for the job. Crucially, it also gives guidelines for merchants, loft converters and developers.
As well as breaking down the search options by job function, the site – www.insulation-actis.com – offers the user the chance to select by project type.
The popular U-value simulator is still a core element of the site, enabling users to play around with different thicknesses of its honeycomb insulation panels Hybris, vapour control layer H Control Hybrid and breather membrane Boost’R Hybrid to estimate the likely achievable U-value.
In addition, its expanded range of how-to videos offers advice on tackling different scenarios –from inserting pipes and ducting through Hybris to fixing H Control Hybrid at a junction.
It has a link to the BIM Object portal, enabling specifiers to create 3D ‘real life’ representations of the finished project and its intervening stages, as well as anticipating errors, design issues and clashes ahead of implementation.
It also offers example CAD drawings showing different build ups and model junctions in various scenarios.
The site contains specification packs, detailed product information and copies of all the CE marked Hybrid range certifications – including its LABC and LABSS registered details.
Meanwhile, a growing raft of case studies and testimonials show how the products are applied in real life and a choice of example applications offer inspirational ideas to specifiers.
