BMF confirms enhanced InstallerSHOW partnership

InstallerSHOW, taking place from 24-26 June 2025  at the NEC in Birmingham, has revealed details of an enhanced partnership with the Builders Merchants Federation.

The partnership will see increased BMF activity at next year’s InstallerSHOW across a raft of sectors. For example, the Federation’s Plumbing & Heating Forum will once again be held at the event whilst the BMF will also be lending its knowledge and support to InstallerBUILD at the event. Billed as “the natural progression of the InstallerSHOW ethos of bringing industry communities together to work in tandem towards meeting shared goals,” InstallerBUILD is being launched in 2025 to “tackle the key issues of building sustainably and retrofitting our buildings.”

In addition, InstallerSHOW has become a BMF member and will be sponsoring the Top 100 Achievers celebration in April 2025 – which will have a focus on plumbing and heating merchants. There will be a dedicated event at InstallerSHOW to bring the Top 100 together to share their experiences.

BMF CEO John Newcomb said: “Our continuing partnership with InstallerSHOW reflects the strategic importance of Plumbing & Heating merchants and suppliers within BMF’s membership. They will take an even higher profile in 2025 as we celebrate the Top 100 P&H Achievers in the building materials sector.

“We are delighted InstallerSHOW is supporting our celebratory event and providing a further platform for these leading P&H influencers at InstallerSHOW in June.”

Michael Costain, Managing Director of InstallerSHOW organiser Lyrical Communications, part of Nineteen Group, added: “Extending our relationship with one of the most important organisations in the building materials sector is a natural and essential step as InstallerSHOW continues to grow. Our membership of the BMF demonstrates our commitment to the wider industry, and our sponsorship of the Top 100 Achievers highlights our desire to celebrate excellence.”

Total BMF membership now stands at 1,000 merchant and supplier companies, employing nearly 203,000 people and with combined sales of over £50.2bn. Its 521 merchant members make up a total of over 6,500 branches.
