For the third year running, the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) has been shortlisted in multiple categories in the prestigious Trade Association Forum (TAF) Best Practice Awards.
The BMF’s initiative to reach and engage with the full range of its membership at sector specific Forums has been recognised in the Member Engagement category, while the Federation’s ground-breaking Builders Merchant Building Index (BMBI) has been shortlisted for the Commercial Initiative Award.
As “the trade association for trade associations” TAF represents over 300 of the top trade bodies in the UK. The prestigious TAF Awards recognise, reward and promote Best Practice amongst its members. They are supported by the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy who are longstanding members of the independent judging panel.
Linda Cavender, TAF CEO, said: “The Awards offer TAF members an excellent opportunity to showcase their organisation, its expertise and recent achievements. I am always astounded at the quality of the entries and only the very best reach the shortlist. They provide a benchmark for running a successful organisation which focuses on members’ needs.”
BMF MD, John Newcomb said: “It is a remarkable achievement to be shortlisted for eight TAF Awards in a three year period. We have also gone on to win two of these highly contested Awards and it would be the icing on the cake if we could do so again this year. Many TAF members have far larger operations than the BMF and it is testament to the BMF team that our work to support our members stands comparison with the best of the best.”
The winners will be announced at the Awards evening in London on 12th July.
