Bradfords opens “first standalone Plant & Tool Hire depot”

Bradfords Building Supplies has announced the opening of its first ever standalone Plant & Tool Hire depot, located in Newton Abbot, Devon.

Having been serving customers across the Southwest since 1770, the business has now added to its network of over 45 branches by bringing its “renowned hire service” into a dedicated facility for the first time.

Keith Hallam, Trading Director, Tool Hire, said: “We’re delighted to be opening our first ever standalone Plant & Tool Hire depot in Newton Abbot, right in the heartland of Bradfords country. It reflects the growing appetite for plant and tool hire from independent merchants and is a vote of confidence in Bradfords’ approach to investing in our hire fleet annually to ensure our customers have access to best-in-class equipment.”

Jon Davis, Sales Development Manager, Tool Hire, added: “This opening is a testament to the strength of our Plant & Tool Hire offering, and signals that our customers value the Bradfords approach, which goes beyond just tools and equipment. Through our product range, we’re also focused on the welfare of staff on sites, ensuring they have the right support and facilities in place to work safely and comfortably.”

Said to offer trade and contractor customers “a bigger, better and more comprehensive range of hire equipment than ever before,” to celebrate the Grand Opening of the outlet, the depot hosted a range of events throughout its inaugural week including supplier days, a raffle – with over £3k of products up for grabs and all proceeds going to Movember – in addition to showcasing the range of the latest technology and innovative equipment that is now available for hire.
