Bradfords has announced it has been awarded a place on the Sanctuary Housing Group framework, as part of a four-year contract to supply plumbing and building materials in the South West, one of only two merchants given a spot.
With around 70,000 homes in England, Sanctuary Housing Group is one of the UK’s leading social landlords. It manages more than 11,500 households across 12 counties in the South West and is committed to providing quality homes and services that meet the needs of the local community. As part of the framework agreement, the Bradfords Partnerships team will work closely with the Sanctuary teams and Bradfords branches to ensure the right materials are available for the housing association’s service delivery for its clients, residents and other stakeholders.
David Cooke, Partnerships Manager at Bradfords, commented: “2020 is a big year for Bradfords as it celebrates its 250th birthday. This framework agreement also comes at a time when Bradfords has invested heavily in the provision of customer focused solutions to Housing Providers and their Contractors.
“In order to work with Public Sector organisations, you have to demonstrate commitment to social value within local communities. As a family owned business that’s always been devoted to the communities in which it operates, whether it be working with local schools or the donation of materials to good causes, partnering with not-for-profit housing associations like Sanctuary is a natural synergy.”
Bradfords’ established its Partnerships team three year ago, yet its portfolio of public sector partnerships already includes organisations like Aster Group, LiveWest, Magna Housing Group, North Warwickshire Borough Council, SHAL Housing and Rugby Borough Council. Supplying materials through managed stores, branches and eCommerce, and supporting a series of maintenance contracts, Partnerships now accounts for around 4% of Bradfords business and is growing rapidly.
Bradfords is working closely with Sanctuary to deliver an initial roll out in six of its branches from April, including Ilminster, Honiton, Axminster, Glastonbury, Sidmouth and Exmouth. Although only these locations will hold Sanctuary dedicated stocks initially, Sanctuary will be able utilise all Bradfords locations.
