EH Smith has recently made three senior appointments to strengthen its management team. The privately-owned family merchant, in its 98th year of trading, has announced the following new appointments.
Mark Setchell has joined EH Smith as Managing Director. Mark brings a wealth of strategic and merchanting experience, including 19 years within the Saint-Gobain group – most recently as Commercial Director at Gibbs & Dandy. Mark replaces Phil Yates who retired in June after over 20 years at EH Smith.
Ian Grainger comes in as the new Head of Finance. With many years’ experience in senior accountant roles in the construction and insurance sectors, Ian is ideally placed to lead the EH Smith finance team in the unprecedented economic landscape.
Adele Chambers has been promoted to the position of HR Director. For the past 10 years Adele has held the role of HR Manager at EH Smith. Adele replaces Mark Faulkner who is retiring after over 30 years in the organisation.
EH Smith’s Chairman, John Parker, commented “We welcome Mark and Ian as newcomers into our business and I’m grateful for the experience they bring.
