The Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) has announced the theme for its 15th annual National Forklift Safety Convention: “Forklift safety is a journey – not a destination.”
The award-winning convention attracts approximately 400 managers, supervisors and health and safety professionals from across the sector.
Now in its 15th year, the Convention will take place on 3rd October 2018 at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre in Coventry.
With talks from guest speakers, practical real-world examples and an opportunity to earn CPD accreditation, FLTA Chief Executive, Peter Harvey, believes the event sends an important message to safety’s key stakeholders.
He said: “A glance at the latest accident figures from the HSE underlines the importance of adopting a continuous approach to safety. We will be sharing practical ways of doing just that.
“Every working day in the UK, five people are left with life-changing injuries such as amputations, as a result of lift truck accidents. So, if you take safety seriously, then you really should consider getting involved.”
The one-day event, will be sponsored by Toyota Material Handling UK and produced in association with SHD Logistics. This year’s event will also feature an expanded forklift safety exhibition showcasing lifesaving products and services.
Tickets are priced at £130 for Members and £180 for Non-Members. Visit www.fork-truck.org.uk or call 01635 277577 to book a place.
