FMB appoints Area Board Member from Ridgeons

The Federation of Master Builders (FMB), the UK’s largest not for profit trade body, has appointed Dave Jordan from Ridgeons as a new Area Board Member.

Dave Jordan, Group Sustainability Manager at Ridgeons, was approached by the FMB because of his expert knowledge within the construction industry. Dave will join a board of 14 members across the Eastern region, responsible for giving FMB members a regional voice and as a result, influencing the FMB’s policies and activities.

This new appointment will be beneficial to both Ridgeons and the FMB, as they work together to increase membership numbers in the Eastern counties. Members of the FMB will have access to a number of benefits, including proof of professionalism through independent inspections and vetting, training and marketing tools to help promote their businesses. By obtaining the FMB’s widely recognised ‘Sign of Building Quality’, FMB members will gain immediate credibility to help them secure more work. Ridgeons will benefit from increased brand awareness, as well as being part of decision making in the sector.

Dave Jordan said:  “It’s a real privilege to be an Area Board Member for the FMB and I’m looking forward to developing the relationship between Ridgeons and the FMB, as well as helping to drive recruitment in the Eastern counties by promoting the benefits of becoming a member.

“Ridgeons has offered the FMB use of its Greenlight Centre of Excellence and Training Academy to host events and seminars. The 26 Ridgeons branches will also allow FMB members greater access to materials and supplies.”

John Watson, Service Director FMB Central, said: “We deeply valued Dave’s previous involvement at the FMB, as he worked to help secure new members and maintained our ethos of providing FMB members with up-to-date and relevant information.

“We are very much looking forward to having Dave on the board and starting this new adventure with Ridgeons. Having a board member from Ridgeons will greatly increase the visibility of the FMB within the Eastern counties, and in turn, help boost recruitment.”
