The award-winning BBC business journalist and broadcaster, Joe Lynam, will speak at the BMF Members Annual Conference on 19 September.
Joe regularly appears on BBC News, BBC Breakfast and Radio 4’s flagship Today Programme covering business, the economy, EU, UK and Ireland. His report exposing RBS’ mistreatment of its small business customers won the 2018 Headline Money Award for Business Story of the Year and led to a parliamentary enquiry. He has also won a prestigious Wincott Award for Financial Journalism.
BMF CEO, John Newcomb said: “Joe gave a great analysis of Europe, the economy and factors affecting the merchant sector when he spoke at our Members Conference last year. With Parliament prorogued and the UK all but certain to exit the EU on 31 October we are looking forward to hearing his assessment for the coming year.”
The BMF Members Annual Conference and black-tie Awards Dinner takes place on 19 September at St George’s Park, Burton on Trent, the home of England’s national football teams. The BMF’s annual Golf Tournament will be held on the previous day, 18 September at the newly-opened JCB Golf and Country Club.
The BMF thanks it’s Members’ Conference headline sponsor, Encon Insulation, and Marsh Industries and JCB, sponsors of the Awards Dinner and Golf Tournament.
