NBG has once again expanded its membership base with the addition of new partner Millbrook Distribution. London-based plumbing specialist Millbrook joins NBG to take advantage of the group’s competitive buying deals and to tap into the wealth of experience and best practice that the group offers its Partners.
Millbrook has been trading in south east London for over thirty years with a single branch in Sydenham selling bathrooms, plumbing and heating products and boiler spares. In addition, the site houses a bathroom showroom and an extensive warehouse. The company is well-known locally amongst the plumbing trade for its extensive stock holding and the expertise and experience of its staff.
It was an existing Partner who recommended to Graham Slim, Millbrook’s MD, that the company should join NBG. “We had been a member of another buying group, but an existing NBG Partner insisted I should look at NBG’s deals because their buying was so competitive,” he says. “When I investigated more closely I was very impressed with the NBG rebate system and the impressive deals that the group has on key products – so joining was a no brainer.”
In addition, Graham is looking forward to utilising NBG’s famed networking and business associations. “Business is good at the moment, but it is always a good idea to learn and develop better working practices through talking to like-minded businesses,” says Graham. “I know that NBG Partners have many centuries of experience between them and I’m anticipating learning a lot from them.”
