MKM partners with ArtiCAD for KBB software solutions

ArtiCAD has announced a new partnership with MKM Building Supplies which will see the independent builders’ merchant implement its flagship ArtiCAD-Pro design software alongside its advanced pricing, ordering and business management solution “to enhance the design journey for both staff and customers.”

By integrating ArtiCAD-Pro into its operations, MKM – which has a growing network of 130+ branches – will provide customers with “visually stunning and detailed design presentations for kitchens, bathrooms and bespoke spaces to make it easier than ever to bring their ideas to life.” The addition of ArtiCAD’s pricing solution, powered by KBBConnect, is also said to ensure fast, accurate quotations and orders plus integrations with both its ERP solution and consumer credit process, “creating a seamless journey from initial consultation to final purchase.”

A key factor in MKM’s decision to partner with ArtiCAD was said to be the platform’s advanced cloud-based architecture. This ensures that updates are completed centrally, allowing the software to remain consistently up-to-date without disruption. The cloud solution also enables staff to access the platform anytime, anywhere, ensuring flexibility across MKM’s nationwide branch network.

Neil Metcalf, Sales Director at ArtiCAD, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with MKM, a company whose commitment to exceptional customer service mirrors our own. This collaboration represents a significant step forward for both of us. With ArtiCAD’s innovative design and pricing solutions, MKM can offer customers faster, more accurate, and visually impressive designs.

“Together, we’re not only enhancing the design process but also empowering MKM’s teams to deliver an even higher level of service and confidence in every customer interaction.”

By leveraging ArtiCAD’s tools, the merchant aspires to “set a new standard for service excellence and innovation in the KBB industry,” ensuring it remains a trusted partner for trade professionals and homeowners alike.

Charotte Deprez, National Showroom Sales Manager at MKM, commented: “At MKM, our customer-first ethos is at the heart of everything we do. ArtiCAD stood out as the ideal partner to help us enhance our design services, enabling our customers to access exceptional detailed 3D visuals and comprehensive customer quotations quickly.

“From the beginning ArtiCAD have been professional, helpful and friendly and above all accommodating to our specific requirements. We’re excited about the potential of this collaboration to further enhance our service and strengthen our position as the UK’s leading independent builders’ merchant.”

As part of the onboarding process, ArtiCAD’s expert training team provided tailored, hands-on sessions to 238 designers across four key locations: Hull, Watford, Glasgow, and Bristol. These sessions ensured MKM’s staff were fully equipped to maximise the potential of ArtiCAD’s software. Feedback was “overwhelmingly positive,” with participants highlighting the practical, engaging training and the software’s superior user-friendly functionality compared to previous systems. Indeed, this success is reflected in the impressive 4.92 out of 5 stars awarded in training feedback after each session.

Jacob Watts, Customer Success & Training Manager at ArtiCAD, said: “Our goal was to ensure that every member of the MKM team felt confident and excited about using ArtiCAD software, and the feedback has been incredibly rewarding. The sessions were tailored to meet the specific needs of each team, and it’s great to see how much they valued the clarity and effectiveness of the training. It’s rewarding to see users already creating some stunning renders – a true testament to the system’s capabilities and ease of use.”
