New BMF Branch Managers Forum taking place in January

Following the success of previous events, the BMF is hosting another Branch Managers Forum at its head office in Coventry from 26 – 27th January.

BMF MD John Newcomb said: “This will be the third Branch Managers Forum and will follow the format that has proved so successful to date. There are sessions covering a range of operational and product issues and each day will finish with a motivational speaker inspiring delegates with ideas to take back to their branches.”

Confirmed topics and speakers include Southall Associates’ Ian Hatherly discussing The Manager’s Role in H&S Management, Ginny Hallam from law firm Halborns will offer Five Tips to Cut Employment Risk and Add Value, whilst Ridgeons’ Martyn Kenworthy will talk about Security and Loss Prevention.

The BMF will also outline its portfolio of training packages, from traditional courses to in-branch mentoring and the BMF Campus online modules. Marketing, merchandising and digital media will also be on the agenda, in addition to a series of interactive syndicates, discussion groups and manufacturer-led product category sessions.

John added: “The two events held to date brought together a complete cross section of the merchant industry and it was great to see the cross fertilisation of so many merchant managers. I could see they learned a lot from each other’s experience as well as drawing on new information presented by some fantastic speakers. I can’t wait for the next event in January.”

The next BMF Branch Managers Forum takes place from 26-27th January 2016 at the BMF’s head office in Coventry. For more information email june.upton@bmf.org.uk or visit www.bmf.org.uk
