NYEs Building Supplies has announced it will be providing two charities with a funding grant of £3,000 each as part of its ‘Proud to be Local’ campaign when it returns this month.
Proud to be Local, which ran for two years, will be back after it was suspended in March due to the pandemic. Kingsfold-based NYEs will be teaming up with its sister company, Fixings & Powertools Centre in Redhill, to triple its original £1000 cash prize per winner to £3000 each in a bid to help local charities and community groups in Sussex and Surrey that have been struggling during the current crisis.
The two companies are calling out for nominations during October and November. Four nominations will then be shortlisted for a public vote to decide the winner.
Rex Nye, Managing Director of NYEs Building Supplies, said: “It has been an incredibly tough year for everyone, but especially for the charities and community groups that have been supporting those most in need during this extremely difficult and trying time. We are hoping that by offering these two grants of £3000, which will be delivered to the winners in time for Christmas, we can help make a huge difference to the charities across Sussex and Surrey and the people they support.”
To make a nomination, simply email details of the cause and how the £3000 would be used to proudtobelocal@dwnye.co.uk. Please ensure a contact name and telephone number for the nominated cause is included with your entry. Nominations should be submitted by midnight on Sunday 15 November.
