The Horsham branch of Rudridge is now sponsoring Worthing Football Club.
Worthing FC has recently been taken over by its very own former defender George Dowell — an inspirational 23 year old who was involved in a car crash in 2010, leaving him paralysed from the chest down. After discovering that Worthing FC was struggling with financial troubles, he decided to rescue the club using proceeds from the compensation money received as a result of his accident.
The sponsorship funding from Rudridge will help to improve and refurbish the team’s changing area.
George Dowell, Owner of Worthing Football Club, commented:
“We’re so grateful for the sponsorship funding that Rudridge has offered Worthing FC. The money will go a long way to helping the success of the team. Transforming the changing area will bring with it a sense of pride and help motivate the team towards our goal of being in Conference South.”
Darren Price, Group Operations Manager at Rudridge, added:
“We’re very proud to be supporting Worthing FC and to be part of George’s investment in the club. The team at Rudridge has a great love of football and we look forward to being involved in the future of Worthing FC and hopefully celebrating their future success.”
Worthing FC’s next home game will take place on Saturday 30th January against Sittingbourne, kick off at 3pm.
