Scruffs has extended its range of work trousers for the coming season and will be supporting merchants with new high impact in-store merchandising.
The line-up of new work trousers takes the Scruffs range from four to seven products and each item is said to provide increasing levels of performance and functionality as purchasers move upwards through the range. Existing products have been re-engineered and the extended range now offers a broader range of price points.
After safety boots, trousers are the highest value item in a work wardrobe and with most tradespeople and skilled professionals having an average of six pairs, it’s essential that trousers are fit for purpose. Starting with the Worker Trouser up to the top end technical Pro Flex Plus Trouser, Scruffs says its the new trouser range has a host of new features.
The introduction of stretch fabric technology in the new range means that the firm can now offer slim and regular trouser fit options, providing all day comfort. The abrasion resistant trousers are made from 2-way or 4-way high-quality stretch fabric, which reportedly allows for the ultimate freedom of movement and flexibility, even in tough or tight working conditions.
The Trade Flex Trouser, 3D Trade Trouser and Pro Flex Plus Trouser benefit from Cordura® reinforcement knee protection. This hard-wearing fabric is designed to provide durable, anti-abrasion protection in high wear areas such as the knees. Each pair of trousers also includes a robust zip from YKK, ensuring reliability.
The trouser designs also feature secure holster, knee pad and phone pockets as well as tool and hammers loops, providing ease of access and ensuring that each trouser is equipped for a variety of jobs and requirements.
According to the company, the new range is the most comprehensive and innovative product launch for Scruffs in recent years and the brand is maximising it with a full suite of marketing support. The launch is supported by a complete end-user marketing, digital and social media campaign targeted at tradespeople and skilled professionals.
Scruffs will also be providing merchants with a variety of “pioneering marketing assets and new high impact instore merchandising, to display the new range and capture customer attention”.
Chris Mellor-Dolman, the company’s Head of Marketing & Merchandising, said: “We already have a comprehensive ‘head to toe’ workwear range. We feel the time is right to broaden the depth of the trouser range. We have invested in a huge amount of innovation and product development to deliver this range using performance fabrics, the best designs and functional features that work hard.”
He added: “Just like the rest of our products the new range has been developed with our customers, using real life wear trials to help with the design process, with genuine tradespeople testing both practicality and performance. This ensures our trousers have been rigorously tried and tested to meet the exacting requirements of tradespeople – providing ever higher levels of comfort, durability, protection and styling at the best possible price.”
