Following significant growth in its merchant and retail presence for the first half of this year, Bushboard has reported double-digit sales growth for its Omega worktop range.
The popular manufacturer of laminate kitchen worktops, upstands and countertops reports it saw a 19% growth in sales value this January-July, compared to the same period last year, as a growing number of homeowners and trade customers “turn to laminate kitchen worktops as a quick, easy and affordable asset to kitchen makeovers.”
The increase “correlates with an expansion of the brand’s showroom presence nationwide,” with 865 new stand placements secured during the first half of the year. The total figure was said to be driven by a 17% increase in uptake of displays for its Omega range, and the same increase in adoption of displays for its Options range of “affordably stylish” laminate kitchen worktops.
During the same period, the company also installed over 280 stands of its aluminium composite splashbacks and 170 stands of its Zenith compact laminate worktops, which are designed to look, feel and perform like stone at a more affordable price point.
Among those new and reactivated stockists to display products from across the Bushboard range are Huws Gray, Jewson, and JT Dove, further increasing the visibility of the supplier’s products across the UK KBB market.
David Goode, National Account Manager at Bushboard, said: “Retailers and merchants only dedicate precious showroom space to products they trust to perform so securing so many new stand placements in a relatively short space of time is a strong vote of confidence from our customers nationwide.
“What’s even more encouraging to both us and our customers is that the increased growing confidence in the Bushboard brand is reflected in sales performance. More trade customers and homeowners are now able to experience our wide range of surfaces first-hand, which we’re always confident will impact positively on sales.”
