Södra Wood, suppliers of structural timber and engineered wood products, has become a member of the Builders Merchant Federation (BMF).
The Builders Merchant Federation is the authoritative voice for the building materials distribution sector. It represents 640 merchant and supplier companies, offering valuable business support and ensuring any industry issues are dealt with quickly and effectively.
Södra Sales Director, Nigel Buckley-Ryan, comments: “We’re delighted to have joined the BMF. We care deeply about our industry and more than ever, with timber being so vital to the future of construction, it’s important that we position ourselves right at the heart of it.
“Central to this is building productive long-term relationships, where we can really add value. So we’re looking forward to meeting and exchanging ideas with fellow suppliers, merchants and industry-leading figures. This will ultimately allow us to offer an even better service for our customers.”
Södra is said to be Sweden’s largest co-operative of privately owned forest owners, and prides itself in delivering a sustainable and reliable supply of timber to merchants around the UK.
