South Coast Building Supplies, which has just celebrated its 10th anniversary, is the latest member of the h&b buying group to join the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF).
There are now said to be over 50 h&b merchants within the BMF’s membership. Formed in August 2008, South Coast Building Supplies is an independent merchants which operates across Dorset and Hampshire. With 75 members of staff, the company currently trades from four depots in Southampton, Bournemouth and Andover.
Tim Payne, MD of South Coast Building Supplies, who has been with the company since its formation, said: “We have grown our business by building a team of knowledgeable and approachable staff who provide great service. The professionalism of BMF training from apprenticeships through to management courses will undoubtedly benefit our business as we enter our second decade of trading and the next stage of our development.”
Welcoming South Coast Building Supplies into membership, BMF CEO, John Newcomb, added: “I’m delighted that this thriving independent merchant recognises that the wide variety of training and support services the BMF offers will add value to their business as it continues to develop and grow.
