Sovini Trade Supplies has pledged its commitment to becoming a net-zero carbon champion and is supporting clients to collaboratively reduce C02 emissions, citing the example of a current project with Everton in the Community.
Through kerbside deliveries via an electric fleet of vehicles, the award-winning North West builders’ merchants is helping local businesses by providing low carbon delivery solutions and through sourcing local materials, with its latest client being on home turf in Merseyside.
Sovini Trade Supplies has been working closely with contractor Ashlar Construction who are undertaking construction works on behalf of sporting Premier League charity, Everton in the Community. The ongoing project, which is taking place in Everton, has witnessed Sovini Trade Supplies source local materials and carry out low carbon deliveries onsite, ensuring Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is upheld and passed onto its clients.
Alan Evans, the merchant’s Operations Director, said: “Sovini Trade Supplies is fully committed to becoming net-zero. The journey to net-zero will require a collaborative effort from ourselves, clients and partners. We endeavour to share best practice, track and measure our progress.”
He added: “As an independent builders’ merchants, I recognise the positive impact that we can make in the sector. We will continue to explore new ways in reducing our carbon emissions and ensure our stakeholders are with us every step of the way.”
Growing annually since launching in 2014, Sovini Trade Supplies says it will “continue to work collaboratively with clients to recognise and reduce the threat of climate change to the economy and environment”.
