SuperFOIL boosts production with £500k investment

SuperFOIL, the Lincoln-based insulation business, says it has achieved an eight-fold increase in production capacity thanks to a £500k investment into custom-made machinery which has allowed it to bring all its manufacturing in-house.

Previously, the company’s manual line could produce 250 rolls of multifoil a week however with its new setup, it can produce 400 rolls a day. As a result, it is now better able to meet growing demand for its breathable multifoil insulation products, following record sales to customers such as Travis Perkins and Screwfix.

SuperFOIL Managing Director Will Bown said: “Over the last 26 years, we’ve constantly strived to improve our products, build an experienced team and invest in the state-of-the-art machinery that will let us provide our customers with even better quality and performance. Our most recent investment is just the latest step in that process.

“As we aim to scale-up our production capabilities, the new technology will help us manufacture raw materials in the UK, and implement strict standards for in-house quality control, waste management, and emission reduction.”

Will continued: “Ultimately, we want to bring outstanding multifoil insulation to more homes and buildings around the UK, and help make Britain a more sustainable, thermally efficient place to be.”

A family business established in 1997, SuperFOIL offers a wide range of premium multifoil insulation. Stating that it aims to save its customers time, space and money whilst increasing their projects’ sustainability, the business says it wants to “raise awareness of multifoil insulation, educating the market on why it is a superior solution.”
