A Wiltshire-based specialist merchant in the tiling and wetroom sector is continuing to grow its business, supplying the entire Marmox range and other KBI products across the whole country.
Tiling Supplies Direct was established by Etienne Lamming in 2010 after gaining invaluable experience as a bathroom installer and has seen the enterprise expand over the years employing some 20 staff. Indeed, it now supplies materials for projects from the development of London landmarks to boutique hotels in the Scottish Borders and beyond.
Amongst the thousands of lines to be found, Tiling Supplies Direct displays the latest launches from Marmox such as its tileable basins and shower trays as well as the manufacturer’s longest selling Multiboard – an insulating tilebacker. Also in store are Marmox’s Thermoblocks, which are said to have proved so effective in meeting Part L of the Building Regulations by tackling thermal bridging at the floor/wall junction.
Martin Pocock, the specialist merchant’s Head of e-Commerce, commented: “We have established routes to market that give us UK wide coverage with dedicated sales and technical teams supporting customers who buy online, as well as the more local ones who use our trade counter.
“The business is in good health with the hotel market being particularly strong at present, while in recent years we have supplied high profile refurbishment projects. We have a very good relationship with Marmox and we stock a full range of their products including most thicknesses of the tilebacker boards.”
Martin added: “Dependability of supply and delivery times as well as quality and technical support are all positives. We are selling increasing quantities of the Thermoblock into housing projects.”
Form the manufacturer, the recently relaunched preformed Showerlay trays now come with an integral layer of waterproof fleece which can be cut to size to connect with the wall and floor protection, harmonising with the latest NHBC guidance, while being able to help absorb movement in the substrate. Meanwhile, there is a larger selection of sizes to choose from and the options of offset or linear drains provide greater flexibility of design for the specifier or installer.
In addition, the new Marmox Veva Drain Waste is designed to offer ease of installation, even in restricted situations, as well as an easily removeable access cover for rapid cleaning as required.
The Kent based manufacturer, which celebrated its 25th anniversary last summer, continues to expand and develop its innovative product range with solutions which meet thermal, cold-bridging, acoustic and fire protection as well as waterproofing and aesthetic requirements across multiple sectors.
Consistent with this commitment, it adds that in any wetroom setting, Multiboard Showerlay will offer high quality as a reliable and straightforward solution.
