Spirotech achieves trio of ISO standards

Spirotech has achieved a trio of internationally recognised quality certifications through the ISO standards which identify best practice within the industry.

The ISO standards are said to cover the company’s quality management, environmental impact and health and safety procedures. The standards are confirmed after rigorous audits which have been carried out by independent assessors.

Kevan Peaker, UK Business Unit Director for Spirotech, said the triple success was a high point in a milestone year that has seen the 50th anniversary of the SpiroVent deaerator and several new products lined up to be launched.

He commented: “These certifications confirm we are a strong, well-managed business focused on continuous improvement, with the customer central to all that we do. We are dedicated to achieving high quality in every aspect, while minimising any impact on the environment.”

As part of the certifications, the company achieved ISO-45001: 2018, which examines a company’s occupational health and safety management system.

Kevan continued: “This is a newly-introduced certification and we believe we are among the first in our industry to achieve it.”

To meet the standard, Spirotech had to demonstrate a ‘robust and effective’ set of practices for maintaining a safe and healthy workplace within a global supply chain.

The other two awards were renewals of previously held certifications and included ISO-9001: 2015, confirming Spirotech’s ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements while enhancing customer satisfaction, and ISO 14001: 2015, which looks at how a company manages its environmental responsibilities.
